An Intimate Ceremony at Mill Pond Park
Janille and Dan exchanged vows beneath the gazebo at Mill Pond Park with their families gathered around them. The ceremony itself was quick and sweet, with the couple sharing vows they had written themselves.
While some of Janille's family in Puerto Rico couldn't be there in person, they were still able to be part of the ceremony through a video call. It was a thoughtful way to include loved ones from afar while keeping the intimate feel the couple wanted for their wedding.
Afterward, Janille and Dan had plenty of time for portraits around the park. The gazebo, pond, stone walls, and spring scenery made a beautiful backdrop without ever needing to leave the ceremony location.
Meaningful Personal Details
One of the most personal details of the day was tucked into Janille's bouquet: a small photo of her late dog, Dobby.
Mill Pond Park already held special memories for Janille and Dobby, who used to spend time there together. She even had a photo of him perched on the stone wall near the gazebo.
On her wedding day, her bouquet—with Dobby's photo attached—was photographed on that same wall. Janille and Dan also took portraits there together, creating a subtle but meaningful connection between an important memory from her past and this new one with Dan.
Dinner at Art Lounge
Once the ceremony and portraits were finished, everyone walked across the street to Art Lounge to continue the celebration.
Janille and Dan cut their wedding cake and shared dinner with their families, keeping the rest of the evening just as relaxed and intimate as the ceremony itself.
There was no need to fill an entire wedding-day timeline just for the sake of it. Their celebration included the things that mattered to them and left out the things that didn't. And that's one of the best parts of choosing an elopement.
