Selene and Alex’s Marcus Performing Arts Center wedding game together in just two months! Alex’s mother came to us two months before the date and said her son just got engaged and wants to get married on 12/12. She asked if it was possible to plan a wedding in two months and we were excited for the challenge of planning everything with such a quick time frame. The couple hadn't selected their reception venue yet so we set up six venue tours for them the following week. They made a decision and everything else was a whirlwind!
Selene showcased her Mexican culture through the stationery, signage, and papel picado hanging from the ceiling. They also had a mariachi band play at the ceremony and cocktail hour. In addition to the wedding cake and chocolate blueberry pudding, they had a Mexican candy table and some Mexican pastries to enjoy with the coffee. Selene and Alex also incorporated some cultural dances such as the La Vibora de la Mar (snake dance) and a money dance. To honor Alex’s Greek heritage, they handed out Bourbonnais (Jordan almonds) to all of the guests during dinner. Mistletoe was really meaningful to the couple and it was incorporated into the design on the cake.
Selene and Alex took wedding portraits at the Milwaukee Central Library and with such grand architecture, the photos really are stunning. You would never guess this Marcus Center wedding was planned in just two months! Cheers to Selene and Alex!
