Julia and Adam’s September Commodore wedding was such a fun day! The couple was worried about weather, so they hired an Etsy witch to ward off the rain. They also buried a sausage the night before the wedding which is supposed to keep rain away. There were a few sprinkles before the ceremony, but the rain held off until halfway through cocktail hour. Then there was a downpour! It was a bit of a challenge to get guests from the outdoor cocktail hour to the reception, but we made trips back and forth with a handful of umbrellas. Rain on a wedding day is never ideal, but it always makes for good stories!
Julia and Adam had many personal moments in their day, especially during the ceremony. Their friend was the officiant and the bride’s sister did a reading. Also, the bride’s mom sang during the ceremony and a bridesmaid played the keyboard. They wrote their own vows which were very sweet and heartfelt.
For the cocktail hour and reception, they had a specialty cocktail named after their cat, Martini. What a perfect name for a signature cocktail representing your pet! Everyone enjoyed a beautiful reception (thankfully indoors!) and ended the night on the dance floor!
Thanks to this review from Julia and cheers to the happy couple!
“Krista & Laura were my husband and I’s day of coordinators for our wedding on 09/20/2025 and they went above and beyond that day! They made everything so smooth. I felt so confident going into my wedding day because of how organized and on top of it they were. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone!”
